The Canadian Organization of the Blind and Deafblind

The Canadian Organization of the Blind and Deafblind (formerly the Camp Bowen Society) is a federal not-for-profit charitable organization (charity #: 722057312RR0001), headquartered on beautiful Bowen Island, British Columbia, that operates the Camp Bowen summer independence camps, blindness/Deafblindness skills training, and outreach programs benefiting people who are blind and Deafblind from across Canada. It also facilitates the Bowen Island Accessibility Group, a program for people with disabilities on Bowen Island, BC.

To that end, Braille Literacy Canada promotes the use and availability of braille in Canada, and strives to ensure that all Canadians have equal access to information — including those who are blind or who are experiencing sight loss.
